About

We started ALS Forward after a research project.

We're Aryav Das and Samarth Dunakhe. Our research received a $25,000 grant, putting us halfway toward our $50,000 ALS research goal.

How it started

It started with PT150.

We worked on a study using biological datasets, machine learning, and molecular docking to study PT150 in the context of ALS research.

The grant brought us halfway to our $50,000 goal. ALS Forward is how we're working on the remaining $25,000 while bringing more donors, grants, and sponsors into ALS research fundraising.

The founders

Aryav Das

Co-founder

Aryav co-authored the 2025 research paper and worked on its machine-learning and molecular-docking analysis. He co-founded ALS Forward to turn the project into fundraising for ALS research.

ORCID

Samarth Dunakhe

Co-founder

Samarth is the first author of the 2025 research paper and led its computational modeling. He co-founded ALS Forward and works on outreach, grant leads, and research partnerships.

Right now

We are working on the remaining $25,000.

We are asking individual donors to give through ALS TDI and reaching out to foundations, local businesses, and school groups that might help us finish the $50,000 goal.

We will keep the research paper, fair results, press coverage, and fundraising status public on this site. When the number changes, we will change it here too.
